I am pleased to join other local artists in Gallery One Mitcham’s group exhibition for SALA 2026 with my drawing of generations of new growth on a Wollemi pine. The exhibition Elements in Harmony is open Tuesday-Fridays 10am-4pm from 24 July-21 August, and Sat 1 August 1-5pm. The Botanical Art Society of Australia is exhibiting on the Gold Coast, Queensland, for the first time. Flora: Nature’s Gift is showing at the Royal Queensland Art Society gallery in Broadbeach from 5-30 July. I have 2 drawings in the exhibition, including Banksia solandri shown above. I’m honoured to have 2 drawings selected for the prestigious Society of Botanical Artists Plantae exhibition. This year the exhibition is online only and has attracted work from botanical artists around the world. The exhibition can be viewed here from 1-30 June.

I’m delighted to be selected as a finalist in the Fleurieu Biennale Art Prize. All the work will be on display at the Fleurieu Arthouse in McLaren Vale, South Australia, from 5 June to 5 July, 2026. A selection of Curator’s Choice works will be displayed simultaneously at the McLaren Vale Visitors’ Centre. Visit one of the country’s best wine regions at the same time as appreciating artworks from local and interstate artists! Work will also be available for sale online from 6th June.

I’m very pleased to have 2 of my recent drawings exhibited with the Botanical Art Society of Australia at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, together with other art societies and individual artists. The art display upstairs at the Royal Exhibition Building complements the fresh floral displays and gives visitors an opportunity to take with them permanent botanical momento. On show from Wednesday 25th to Sunday 29th March, 2026.

My drawing ‘Crozier’ has been selected as a finalist in the Tatiara Art Prize, along with 40 other local and interstate artists. It will be on display at the Walkway Gallery in Bordertown, SA, from 26 September until 8 November 2025. The gallery is open 9am-5pm Mon-Fri, 9.30-11.30am Sat. Stop in for a day trip from Adelaide, or while travelling between Adelaide and Melbourne!

This year for the annual South Australian Living Artists Festival (SALA) I will be opening my studio to the public on the weekend of 16 & 17 August, from 12 noon to 5pm. See all the details in the SALA program. I will be demonstrating my recent techniques, inluding botanical drawings with black backgrounds. Some original drawings and reproduction prints will be available for sale. Inspect the whole SALA program to find all the art in your local area and beyond. Very pleased that one of my 2 entries in this prize exhibition held in conjunction with the Botanical Art Society of Australia, was awarded 2nd Prize! All 74 selected works are on display every Thursday to Sunday from 10am-4pm, 12 June to 6 July 2025 at the National Trust’s Retford Park Estate in Bowral, NSW. All work is for sale, and commissions on sales go to support the valuable work of CanAssist Southern Highlands cancer support network.

I am delighted to have 2 works selected for this prestigious biennial exhibition held by Foundation and Friends of the Botanic Gardens Sydney.

I addressed the theme of the exhibition using examples of native terrestrial orchids that can be found growing close by other native species with similar floral colours and forms, to attract pollinators without expending the extra energy needed to produce nectar themselves! Once again, botanical artists around the world have joined together to curate simultaneous exhibitions of botanical art to raise awareness of the rejuvenation of this artform and bring attention to plants and their importance to humanity. Special events will also be held to celebrate the Worldwide Day of Botanical Art on May 18, 2025.
